Sir Paul McCartney Concert - August 14

The City of Regina Pipe Band was very pleased to have been selected by Live Nation to perform "Mullof Kintyre" with Sir Paul McCartney and his band in front of over 44,000 people at Regina's Mosaic Stadium. CBC, CTV, CJME, Global News and The LeaderPost all featured stories on the band and the performance, and it was a great couple of days for the band, and exciting for us to perform on a home-town stage with so many people in attendance.

Special thanks to our friends in the North American Champion (Grade 2) Ottawa Police Pipe Band, who were kind enough to loan us a set of chanters that helped us atttain the desired lower pitch (A=466) for the performance.

Thanks also to Sir Paul, his band, and all the people at Live Nation who made the rehearsal and performance such a memorable experience, and who treated us so well in the process!

Here's a post-show interview from CBC Radio's "Afternoon Edition" the day after.
